Vestmark Wins Silver Stevie® Award in 2020 American Business Awards®

Firm Recognized for Commitment to Innovation

Wakefield, Mass.—June 15, 2020—Vestmark, Inc. is proud to announce that it has won the Silver Stevie® Award for Most Innovative Tech Company of the Year (Up to 2,500 Employees) in the 18th Annual American Business Awards®.

The American Business Awards are the premier business awards program honoring innovative organizations in the U.S. Nicknamed the “Stevies” for the Greek word meaning “crowned,” the Awards will be virtually presented to winners during a live online event on August 5, 2020. More information about the American Business Awards, and a list of 2020 Stevie Award winners, are available at http://www.stevieawards.com/aba.

“I congratulate our team on yet another Stevie Award win. We are proud of this recognition for our firm’s ongoing dedication to making Vestmark one of the leading wealth management technology solution providers for financial institutions,” said John Lunny, CEO of Vestmark. “Every day, we focus on enabling our clients to grow their businesses, striving to develop new approaches to resolve pain points, and creating solutions that empower our clients to improve outcomes for investors. This award highlights the positive impact we are making on the wealth management industry.”

Noteworthy achievements contributing to this year’s Stevie Award win for Vestmark include trading- and rebalancing-related enhancements and new operational/compliance capabilities that benefit wealth management firms’ home offices:

  • Trading/rebalancing and portfolio construction enhancements include tools for overlay managers to identify and trade only affected securities and models, additional model-export APIs enabling deeper integration with other solutions such as risk analytics and optimizers, and more trade types and trading parameters to further streamline the scalable management of investor accounts. These updates also encompass more capabilities for efficiently managing and trading options for income generation and covering positions across a number of accounts.
  • In September 2019, Vestmark team members were granted a U.S. Patent for the trade order management system and methodology they developed, which streamlines the management and monitoring of trade rotations. The trade processing mechanism enables institutions overseeing portfolios across multiple client accounts to efficiently execute trades with multiple custodians and manage high volumes of trades with different counterparties in accordance with rotations, at scale. By inventing a way to harness trade metadata to help home offices and asset managers eliminate points of operational friction, Vestmark has provided another means for enabling them to spend more time on improving outcomes for investors.
  • New tools to automate recon and surveillance workflows create time savings for back office teams of financial institutions. Reduced manual work, and better overall levels of trade compliance in automated trade rotations, allow firms to spend more time focusing on improving investor outcomes.
  • Vestmark has integrated a new billing solution that enables calculation of fees and payouts for thousands of households, accounts, and sleeves in minutes, a significant reduction in time allocated to this task.

Vestmark previously won a Silver Stevie Award in 2019 for the VestmarkONE® platform's New Options Module, and received a Gold Stevie Award in 2014 as part of the Sales & Customer Service awards program. The firm has been named a Stevie Award winner or finalist on eight occasions since 2012.

More than 3,600 nominations for public, private, for-profit, and non-profit U.S. organizations of all sizes, and from a wide variety of industries, were submitted to the American Business Awards this year. Over 230 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners. Tickets to the virtual gala on August 5th can be purchased at http://stevieawards.com/aba/awards-gala-tickets.

“Despite the toughest business conditions in memory, American organizations continue to demonstrate their commitment to innovation, creativity, and bottom-line results,” said Maggie Gallagher, Stevie Awards President. “This year’s Stevie-winning nominations are full of inspiring stories of persistence, ingenuity, resourcefulness, and compassion. We celebrate all of their stories and look forward to showcasing them during our virtual awards ceremony on August 5th.”
