Wilshire Launches Wealth Management Platform

Santa Monica, Calif., – April 18, 2016 – Wilshire Funds Management, a business unit of the global investment manager, Wilshire Associates Incorporated, today announced it is launching the Wilshire Wealth Management Platform, an end-to-end advisor platform that leverages technology from leading financial solutions provider Vestmark.

The solution provides institutions, registered investment advisors, and family offices with turnkey access to Wilshire’s market-tested investment strategies and research. Client accounts managed by Wilshire Funds Management will utilize VestmarkONE®, a comprehensive, real-time unified wealth management technology solution.

“Many investment advisors are looking for a single institutional quality partner to provide a comprehensive set of asset management services and technology that best fit their needs,” said Jason Schwarz, President of Wilshire Fund Management. “While a number of existing providers offer varying features, it’s challenging to find one that performs the complete range of asset management tasks well.”

“Powered by VestmarkONE, the Wilshire Wealth Management Platform is uniquely positioned to fill this void, combining our industry-leading manager research and selection with a full range of tools for proposal generation, portfolio construction and ongoing management, tax overlay, and customized reporting,” Schwarz added.

The technology underlying the Wilshire Wealth Management Platform eliminates the disparate technology infrastructure that prevents many advisors from seamlessly delivering their investment advice to clients.

“There is a great need for a research solution that bridges the increasingly narrow gap between the demands of institutional and ultra-high net worth investors,” said Josh Emanuel, Chief Investment Officer of Wilshire Funds Management. “This platform distills Wilshire’s four decades of institutional experience into an intuitive and flexible solution.”

Selecting the right managers and models, generating proposals, constructing portfolios and managing accounts often comes at the expense of growing client relationships. In fact, a recent CEB survey of sales managers in the financial services industry demonstrates that only one in two rank their technology tools as effective, revealing a strong need for integration and automation for their frontline staff.

“Securing Wilshire as a strategic partner and utilizing its new platform will allow us to focus more on serving wealthy families,” said Michael Roscoe, Chief Investment Officer at the Barclay Breland Family Office in Palm Beach, Fla. “Wilshire provides the support we need to manage the complexities of a large family office, from sophisticated research and portfolio management to trading and performance reporting."

The Wilshire Wealth Management Platform is designed to help streamline portfolio management with an integrated, scalable, institutional platform.

“We are very pleased to partner with Wilshire to launch this exciting new platform,” said Rob Klapprodt, President of Vestmark. “Wilshire is highly regarded for its stellar manager research, asset allocation, and Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) capabilities. These strengths coupled with Vestmark’s innovative technology, award-winning outsourcing services, and newly launched Vestmark Manager Marketplace, create a compelling solution for the marketplace.”

“We look forward to our continued collaboration with Wilshire in assisting advisors and institutions to deliver better outcomes for the investors they serve,” Klapprodt added.
